Memorial Day

We went to La Grande, Oregon for 

Memorial Day

this year.

Steve & I, Dave & Gayle and Marilyn & Keith

all went together.  (Cheryl & Ron's grandson was

having his Missionary Farewell so they

weren't able to join us...we missed you guys!)

We have beautiful Iris this year so Steve

went out and cut a bouquet to

 take with us.

We met Glenda & Selwyn and Lila & Don

in La Grande (at Lila's house) then

all went to the

 Hillcrest Cemetery together.

Steve put his bouquet on his parents grave...Gayle

also brought a basket of artificial flowers

to set on several grave sites.

(she is always so thoughtful that way)

we were able to visit several family plots

(we also visited the Island City and Summerville Cemeteries)

and reminisce a bit with each other...

We also saw other friends and relatives that

had come to the cemetery and

enjoyed visiting with them.

We all had a good time together...laughing...

mostly about how old we are all getting...

and catching up on what our kids and grandkids

have been up to.

We are very thankful to both have such wonderful families

to share our lives with...not everyone is so lucky !
