Saturday was Steve's Birthday....
thanks to everyone for all the nice birthday wishes!
and today, Sunday, is Father's day.
Yesterday morning we went out to eat at the
Star Country Cafe....
....for a yummy breakfast of
French Toast, Eggs & Bacon
That evening I fixed a nice Ham dinner.
Matt's family and Dave & Gayle
came over to visit and joined us in eating
our little feast!
The weather was beautiful so we had our meal
outside on the back patio.
Our Strawberries are going strong so instead of
cake and ice cream we chose to
serve strawberry shortcake
for Dessert.
with candles aglow, Camry served grandpa his cake
as we all sang a rousing chorus of
Happy Birthday!
next it was time to open a few gifts.
We all enjoyed sitting around, relaxing and
just spending some time visiting.
Steve is holding the card from Matt's family
which said to...
Go to the TV room to see your gift....so he did!
Our first media cabinet is full so now
we have a matching second one which
we will start filling up!
Today has been quiet. We had a very
nice meeting at church with
a Candy Bar treat for all the Dads.
Steve has received calls from all our kids
wishing him both a Happy Birthday and
a Happy Father's Day.
Another year has come and gone...where does the time go?
I don't know, but it seems like it goes
faster and faster every year!
