Friday 4/1
Yesterday Steve started a new "project"
He is painting our back fence.
Last summer he painted the two side fences so when he finishes this year, it will all look Great!
Thursday 4/7
I guess winter is over . . . .
Steve mowed the lawn for the first time this season . . . . it looks great! well, the south-facing back yard does anyway (the front yard is coming along, but it take a little longer to get going)
About the only time Linda likes this flowering plum tree is . . . .
in the spring when it is in full bloom, with beautiful pink blossoms.
Monday 4/11
Oh No! Guess winter isn't quite over yet . . . .
Our recently planted pansies are having to endure today's hail storm
Thursday 4/14
Today was our Stake Humanitarian Meeting
Linda was once again asked to take pictures.
Somehow she talked them in to asking all the people in attendance to stop what they were doing and gather for . . . .
a group picture. We had a nice turnout with over 50 Sisters.
Friday 4/15
This morning, we received a text message from Debbi. It included a picture of her friend Meredith and her with the keys to their new home in Taylorsville, Utah.
The message said . . . .
"WE DID IT"
They bought this home together as a way to get into the housing market during this economically difficult time. Now we are excited to take a trip to Utah so we can see their new digs!
Friday 4/22
We always enjoy how nature begins coming to life this time of year
Our pansies and . . . .
Tulips are bright a cheerful. Today Linda decided it was time to change our indoor winter décor . . . .
To our Spring/Summer décor
So now we can not only enjoy our outside flowers, but also have these to brighten up the inside of our home.
Wednesday 4/27
Today we are on our back patio enjoying some nice, warm weather
We are watching this owl in our neighbor's tree
Friday 4/29
Today we attended the funeral of our grand-niece, Sydney Parker
She is the 26 year old daughter of Randy & Lynette (Steve's sister Marilyn's son)
She was in a car accident on the 24th that took her life. Sydney loved black and anything "sparkly". The family invited everyone to wear something black and/or sparkly today.
After the service they had a Butterfly Release
Randy shared with us that it almost didn't happen. The shipment of butterflies got lost in route and they had to enlist the help of a UPS employed friend to find them. They arrived this morning!
There was a big photograph of Sydney holding a butterfly on her finger on display in the foyer, along with lots of other photos, video & memorability.
Saturday 4/30
Today Kevin & Lani spearheaded a family housewarming project to surprise Debbi
We all "pooled" our $$ and had a new front door installed. Debbi is in Hawaii for a little R & R and doesn't know anything about this so it should be a fun surprise when she gets home tomorrow.
Mission Accomplished . . . . she was surprised!
April was fun with all the spring flowers popping up. Now moving on to see what the month of May has in store for us.
