Next .... To The Lansfords

After getting home from California we
did our laundry then repacked for
some colder weather in
Davenport, Iowa.

With just one day rest we were off again.
We arrived late in the evening so
all the kids were already in bed
but were excited to see us
Friday morning!

By evening the kids were ready to
have their 2nd Christmas ....
this one from
Grandma and Grandpa

We had dinner and the kids got all ready
for bed then Trudi brought
the gifts down from upstairs where
they had been hiding since before the
"real" Christmas in December.

Wyatt with his Dino
"Brawlasaurus" game.

Great Game .... I love it !

Charlotte with her
Barbie and Bowing Horse set.

Fun Stuff !
Loves her "Garbie" dolls.

Cora also received the
Barbie & Horse set.

She loved getting one too !
Problem is
she thought they were both hers .... oops

Morgan with his
V-Tech Monkey & the Farmer Says games.

First things first .....
How does this joystick thing work?

Now George has a reciprocating saw too !

and Trudi with her Silicone Cooking "stuff".

While we were in California Linda's mother
asked us if we could take a picture to
Trudi & George.
It is one she bought several years ago
because she thought it was so
beautiful.
It is a painting of Mary holding baby Jesus
on her shoulder and was done
by an LDS artist.

Both Trudi & George felt very special to
think that "grandma" wanted them
to have this piece of art
that was so precious to her.

Next we opened our gift
from the Lansfords.

A beautiful Deco lamp George purchased
while in Kuwait.

It was handmade in Turkey and is
an amazing piece of art ...
We love it !

On Saturday Linda gave the girls
some new haircuts.

For Cora we cut some bangs and
took about 6-8 inches off.

Charlotte just wanted her bangs
trimmed so they didn't hang in her eyes.

On Sunday Linda curled their hair
with her curling iron ....
don't they look cute !

Cora

Charlotte

Both girls are wearing some
hand-me-down dresses
Linda made for Matt's girls .....
Will they hold up long enough for
Sydney to wear them too ?

Couldn't resist taking this picture

Charlotte fell asleep on Steve's shoulder.

Monday morning musical

at the piano

Linda practicing the Rendezvous Music
and all the kids were helping !

We left for home very early Tuesday morning.
Both our flights went well and
we were home by mid afternoon.

Nauvoo is only 2 hours from Davenport so
we are planning on seeing these
kiddo's while we are on our mission
