There are always opportunities for Service
We have served at the Garden City
Wet Pack Cannery a couple of times since our return
from Colorado...
We have done peaches
and now they are doing Pears. The Cannery assignment
for pears will keep them busy 12 hours a day, 4 days a week
until sometime in December...WOW that's a lot of Pears!
Another Project...
We had fun picking apples at Marilyn & Keith's little orchard.
Dave & Gayle and Steve & I went out one
morning and picked yummy red delicious apples
for ourselves and our kids.
We not only had fun picking the apples, but we enjoyed
visiting with Marilyn, Keith & Jeff.
The trees were loaded
The "Fruits" of our Labors
Moving everything to the van
The apples we picked filled up the back of Dave's Van
Before heading for home we stopped at one of Parker's
neighbors who was growing seedless watermelon as an
experiment this year. We added 5 or 6 melons to
our already big load.
Another project we worked on a couple of Saturday's ago
was for our Ward. We do "Litter Patrol" on a long
stretch of Star Road.
Our lovely Bright Green Vests and Bright orange Litter bags.
We are doing a food drive for the Star Food Bank. Phase one was putting a plastic bag and instructions on every door knob in Star.
We are grateful for opportunities to serve
our families, community, neighbors and Church!
