 Monday 11/4

A few years ago, Linda started having some chest pain with exertion. Since then she has seen a cardiologist and pulmonologist and undergone several tests in an effort to uncover the cause, all to no avail. She says, "I must just be overweight and out of shape" so.... The "last-ditch" effort is to lose some weight and see if it helps. If it does, she can get back to exercising and building up her stamina.

Today, she began taking injections of Semaglutide. It should help her get a jump-start on the weight loss journey. The injections are self-administered, once a week. Thumbs-up for a positive outcome!

Tuesday 11/5

We have been Bi-Mart members for 40+ years

This is the second time we have seen our membership number show up on "Lucky Number Tuesday". Today we had our choice of four items:

a storage cabinet, a Coffee Maker, a 50 QT igloo cooler or a Pro Salad Shooter

We really didn't need any of them so we opted for the smaller Salad Shooter . . . Congratulations to US !!

Monday 11/11

Remembering generations of Veterans in our family

Steve had lunch at West Side Pizza with some friends and we had dinner at Café Rio. As a "thank you for your service", both offered significant discounts for Veterans.

We looked out our front window tonight and saw this red "glow" flashing on our across-the-street neighbor's house. We went outside to investigate. There was a fire truck, followed by an ambulance, in front of our next door neighbor's house. We soon discovered both emergency vehicles were at the house next to our neighbor. Not sure what happened, but the people that live in that house just built an addition for their elderly mother. Hope she is okay!

Update: It was mom. She had a mini-stroke and spent a few days in the hospital but she is home, doing well and expected to have a full recovery.

It's Thanksgiving Eve and Linda has been busy in the Kitchen. Baking Rolls, Pies & Banana Bread. She also set a jello, boiled the eggs for deviled eggs, and made some Chocolate mousse.

Kevin's family arrived from Bountiful at 5:15 this evening. We ordered some pizza from Dominoes for dinner. We played some games and had Mousse for dessert.

Thursday 11/28

It's Thanksgiving day !

The day began with Sydney & Shea making Cinnamon Rolls and then added fruit, and Cereal for Breakfast. Then the boys helped get more tables and chairs out and the girls set and decorated the tables. The kids played games and the grown-ups spent some time just relaxing until dinner-time.

Friday 11/29

It is "The Day After"

It has been a quiet, but enjoyable day. Shea & Sydney made Glow Stix Jewelry, We played Disney Trivia and Scattergories, and Kevin took care of some leaves that were stuck on the roof.

Saturday 11/30

And they're off !

It is a bit "frosty" this morning but looks like they will have good roads all the way home !

We are so glad they came home for a few days. We had fun and enjoyed being together. We were able to send a Christmas box for Kevin's family and one for Debbi home with them which will save us having to ship those two boxes . . .  nice!

November has flown by and now we can relax and enjoy the Christmas season. We hope all our family had a nice Thanksgiving !!
