New HVAC System

Our old HVAC system had it's final inspection in February of 2007. We moved in in November of that year so it has served us well for nearly 17 years.

Today we had a new HVAC system installed by Access Heating and Air.  They are a smaller family-owned business that has been serving the Treasure Valley for over 50 years.

From Linda's Journal:

We got up around 7:00 this morning in order to meet the HVAC people. They were here right on time (8:00 a.m.) and got right to work. I have been taking pictures of the process for our blog. These guys are very efficient. There is a 4-man crew and each one has their “thing” to do. In addition to just installing the furnace and air conditioner, they have been up in the attic securing some of the pipe that was coming loose, down in the crawlspace to glue the existing condensation line in place, vacuumed all our cold air return vents and installed three CO2 detectors (one upstairs & 2 downstairs). So far, we have been very pleased with them.  The whole process was finished in just 5 hours.

Final Inspection Day

The inspection didn't take very long . . . . He basically just did a visual inspection of the furnace installation and then checked the AC compressor and fuses.

After a 5 minute inspection he attached a sticker to the unit.

YaY - we passed !

We should be good for another 15-20 years
